Hi, I'm Mari
For over 10 years, I've helped teams turn complex problems into products that are simple to use.
I work end to end, from discovery to validation, and use AI to build working prototypes and code implementations when that speeds up learning and delivery.
About me
My work sits at the intersection of strategy, technology, and design. I like collaborating across different areas to understand problems, align decisions, and build products that make sense for the people who use them and the people who build them.
To me, design isn't about adding complexity, but removing it. When a product is intuitive, people barely notice the design work — they just get done what they came to do.

Strategy • Systems • Prototyping
Throughout my career I've helped build digital products across different markets, always looking to balance strategy, experience, and execution.

Projects I'm proud to have led
Handshake: reliability with low friction
The challenge wasn't adding one more step to the courier's flow. It was making sure every order reached the right person without compromising speed, experience, or scale.
Atelier: when a Design System stops being a library and becomes infrastructure
When AI started building interfaces, we realized the Design System had to stop being a library and become infrastructure.
Building a car-sharing platform for São Paulo
A peer-to-peer car-sharing app for São Paulo ('Reinvented Mobility'), designed from scratch as a freelance project, from onboarding to booking.
James Delivery: a search that understands what users are looking for
One week to diagnose why a super app's search returned so little — and redesign it end to end, from research to prototype.
“Good design almost goes unnoticed. When everything works, it has done its job.”
Curiosities
Beyond the screens
Guitar
Music has always been part of my life, whether it's going to a show or just playing guitar. It's one of my favorite ways to slow down and recharge.
Photography
It was behind the camera that I learned the importance of looking: observing before framing, and noticing details that often go unseen.
Ceramics
Ceramics reminds me that some things can't be rushed. It's my favorite exercise in patience and imperfection. (@mari.vc)
Jake, the Chihuahua
Small, stubborn, and absolutely convinced he runs the house. My best companion. (@jake.thedoguinho)
Board games
I like understanding how simple rules can create complex experiences. And I'll admit it: I'm also fairly competitive.
Yoga
My weekly reminder that not every problem needs to be solved right away.
